Camper is a family business founded by Lorenzo Fluxa back in 1975 in Inca, a town on the island of Mallorca in Spain. It's now the fourth generation running the company with a long shoemaking heritage and all Camper shoes still designed and developed in the same place of origin.
The main characteristic that defines the diverse range of Camper shoes is injecting the FUN element into an object of necessity and converting the 'good old shoe' we all love and wear into something entirely different. The Camper styles are vast, and some may describe them as unusual. However, all designs share the same basis, a curious amalgam of casual and smart and a contemporary approach no one had explored in that way before.
Many of Camper's designs are iconic, like the 'TWINS' range, which started back in 1988. TWINS push the boundaries and challenge the notion that pairs should consist of two shoes alike. Or 'Wabi', a minimalistic slipper, which was created in 2000 by the desire to reduce materials and overcome the complexity in production. This was also the basis for the conception and design of another Camper classic, the Peu shoe range.
An exemplary initiative Camper has started, which brings on board leading creative thinkers from multiple backgrounds, be it fashion, architecture or art, is called Camper Toðer. As a result, there are Camper stores that focus on an unforgettable retail experiences as well as the creation of amazing new exclusive products.
Besides all the creativity and originality of the brand and its design approach, we have to mention that Camper is an ethical company which puts efforts into social responsibility across all its partners. They have kept the same values of integrity and quality through the years, up to this day and going forward. Recognising there is always room for improvement their phrase "A little better. Never perfect." sums up their core objectives in their operations.
Camper is a truly remarkable company with excellent products; if you ask us.
